The vineyard
From flat to steep terraces, the Atibaia winery came to life as part of our desire to revive and tame these fallow terraces by planting vines. The first cultivated area was around our old house in Smar Jbeil, which dates back to the 17th century and was transformed into a cellar in 2007. The soil is rich in minerals and spans one hectare. The plot of Jran consists of a dozen winding terraces exposed to the northeast, making it ideal for the morning sun.
The soil of Mrah el Zeyet is gravelly; it is not exposed to sea breezes and humidity, making it the coldest of all three vineyards
“Small is beautiful”. The boutique winery of Atibaia is located in the mountains of Smar Jbeil overlooking Batroun. It is dedicated to producing a red wine and a white wine in limited quantities.
The Atibaia winery is full of character, surrounded by stunning nature and fertile vineyards. The winery is housed in a rustic 17th-century home with lush surroundings.
