Château Trois Collines

THE PHILOSOPHY

At Château Trois Collines, they have great faith in the ancient and noble land entrusted to them. Out of respect for this environment, they have dedicated themselves to bringing together a harmonious and skilled group of experts who will enhance this perfect setting for creating the finest wines in the region. This expertise and passionate oversight of their estate-grown vines promise carefully tended vintages and ensure sustainability, culminating in a rich selection of wines of the highest quality.

Everything is desirable… but a good harvest is only possible through serious and hard work!

They honor their elders and breathe new life into their traditions. They also strive to modernize and bring quality into their lives that befits them. Wine was likely first fermented in this part of the world! But it was certainly overshadowed by historical events. Contributing to this renaissance means not only living with their past glory but also actively, scientifically, and effectively contributing to the prominence of the Lebanese wine industry and spreading it around the world! This involves using the best equipment, applying best practices, participating in international exhibitions, and wine tasting competitions.

THEIR STORY

When nature calls… when man listens!
From quarry to vineyard! Yes! The Aïn Bourdaï hills of Château Trois Collines stand as a remarkable testament to what humans can create from rocky, forgotten highlands in a remote corner of Lebanon!
Ziad Ammar – founder of CTC, was inspired in 2009 by his vision and deep passion for wine and agriculture, coupled with his strong belief in his land and people, to initiate this project. He ventured into the unknown and gathered young talents, regional labor forces, and experts who view renewable energy as a major asset for the development of sustainable irrigation and planting. He began shaping an exceptional terroir that had been selected by the Romans thousands of years before him! Yes, Baalbek and the Temple of Bacchus are the homeland of Trois Collines. Less than 5 km separate our hills from the site of the most prestigious and historic place dedicated to wine and its God! We are thrilled to continue this production and tradition in this region!

THE MISSION

Giving back to Lebanon, giving back to nature!

Developing in Lebanon a organic polyculture/viticulture and winemaking activity that promotes Lebanese agriculture and terroirs… Rehabilitating forgotten and abused locations into green, productive, and attractive sites! Exporting terroir products with high added value and quality labels, generating a good income for rural and local families, allowing them to stay in their home villages…

Wine is a great culture derived from a noble plant …                            and from man’s work and admiration to his terroir!

LOCATION

The vineyard is located on three hills in the Bekaa Valley. The name Trois Collines is inspired by the ideal location of these hills, as they possess natural resources that are perfect for growing vines.
Vineyard coordinates: 33°57’58.0″N 36°13’46.0″E

SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE

Agriculture is the path to our cuisine and health… An approach to an organic backyard… Thus, the focus is on developing a green and sustainable agricultural approach to create an organic wine and farming system, from Aïn Bourdaï all the way to Dahr El Baïdar… Certified organic by CCPB with an annual audit visit and assessment, Château Trois Collines aims to rely on renewable energy sources, wind turbines, solar panels… for an economical, long-term, nature-friendly, pollution-minimizing approach… in a country choked by generators. At least when we visit the vineyards on our escape day, we enjoy a deep breath of fresh, clean air!
