Mare Santo Rosé
1- Grapes: Varietals
This rosé wine is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, harvested exclusively by hand.
2- Winemaking / Production
The wine comes from the Brda wine region, where the vineyards are planted on terraces at an altitude between 50 and 200 meters. The planting density varies between 4,000 and 5,000 vines per hectare, and the vines are between 15 and 25 years old. The soil is composed of marl and flysch, and the climate is sub-Mediterranean, combining warm air with the influence of cold alpine winds.
3- Tasting Notes
The robe is light rosé with subtle violet reflections. On the nose, the wine reveals aromas of wild berries, cherries and raspberries. On the palate, it develops a pleasant sense of freshness and finishes with soft almond notes and red berries.
4- Serving Temperature & Hints
This wine is best served between 5 and 7°C to fully express its freshness and elegance. It is best enjoyed in the year of release, but can be stored for up to three years in a dark, cool place.
5- Food Pairing
This rosé makes a refreshing aperitif and pairs beautifully with beef carpaccio, fish dishes such as marinated salmon with fresh young lettuce, Mediterranean salt and herbs, as well as pasta, including homemade fresh pasta seasoned with fresh Adriatic scampi.
6- Parameters
This wine has an alcohol content of 12% by volume, a total acidity of 7.42 g/l and a pH of 2.97. The residual sugar level is brut.
